One of the oldest retail jewelry store in North Carolina has announced that it will be closing it’s doors after the holidays this year. Jolly’s Jewelers and Silversmiths was opened over 130 years ago, and has been through five generations of the Ragsdale family. The AGS jeweler has been a long standing staple of one of the higher quality honest jewelry stores in the Raleigh area.
According to a local news station current owner Frank Ragsdale says that “there is no further interest among the members of my family to continue operating the store.” This along with the fact that the retail jewelry industry is suffering from a “lack of integrity.”
